Instead of dreaming be more practical.

It all started with Pre Searing if they turned the Vanguard drops back on for the fine folks in Pre I think that would be alot more fun for everyone that still plays there. All it takes is to throw some switches so to speak to turn them back on.

As for anything else it won't happen since that would require effort on the part of Anet.

yeah,...well, they do say go big or go home so might as well dream big ....

though at this point in time any acknowledgement that they are going to have anything other than the autorun anniversary event would be nice (heck, them saying ANYTHING about gw would be nice--and not 2).

that would be nice...you know from time to time I spend money on GW1 it would be nice if that money went towards this game and not the other one I don't play

I would personally like to see Divine Favour reworked to have some multiprof synergy.

Other primary attributes have at least some overlap. Strength and Critical Strikes both synergize with other professions' melee weapons. Expertise helps with all attack skills. Soul Reaping fuels energy regardless. Even Fast Casting provides a bit of benefit for longer casting secondary prof spells, and even Spawning Power at least has some synergy with Necromancer minions.

Divine Favour has nothing. In fact it explicitly has nothing; it doesn't even work with other spells that target allies, or even other spells that simply heal such as Ritualist restoration stuff. It only works with Monk spells.

It would be nice to see it modified in some way, whether expanded to everything that target's an ally, or given some auxiliary function like making all enchantments last longer.

Hello everyone. As it seems to me, the chances of receiving periodical skill updates for Guild Wars 1 at this stage of game's existence lie within the smallest cove, though, the Mes bots rupting issue is something which has potential of being addressed later on, so I'll start the corresponding discussion at ArenaNet's feedback page just as soon as I'll have the time.

P.S. Back to 2013, when I have only returned to the game after 5 years break, I've arranged an interesting skills update list which I planned to present for the devs review later that year, the idea behind was in turning almost every unfavored skill into something at least partially useful for PvP - the thing Isaiah never did for some unclear reason, however, during the preparations surrounding the 2014 HA update, it became apparent that it wasn't even half-rational anymore to pass such a lengthy & complicated suggestion to the devs, which is reflected by the note at the end of the text.

If you know any other ways of addressing the rupt bots issue, I'd be interested to hear. I think it might also be reasonable to proceed with the PvE/PvP split for those. Ironically, what you've noticed was added way later than the other adjustments, and the reason are all these botters everyone knows exact nicknames of, be it HA or GvG. Guess you can already start thanking them for this kind of changes they inspired by "trolling Anet" with their scripts... it's just now the other side's turn to unplug a small potion of joy.

Honestly if they nerf mesmer damage or even give other classes a small but MUCH needed buff (cough paragons rip cough) I would go back to pvp. I'm not interested in watching certain mesmers (you know who you are) winning golds on the backs of bots...

hey i know! i may be selfish to some, but if they'd make proph missions exploreable after completion (even without would do, as my main has done all anyways) they could use the excuse "to make it possible to see parts of the game without needing to pay attention to the mission itself, and have a nice stroll, as part of the last big update"
its a small excuse, but its 1 alot of people would like to at least see it happen

the suggestion i made about kurz and lux priests near each other (not fighting, so you can take the blessings), and we being able to take whichever we want (including both) is not only for roleplaying (not my main reason), but also good for the pve part, as the pvp part decides where they are now, and lux barely has any places, but at other times, kurz loses most

so yea, thought i'd explain my reason for this one, the exploreable one would do nice to people who dont use any 3rd party programs, and makes GW good without it, as texmod is not supposed to be required (a few may have done without, but many who done it with, say "even with texmod it was hard", so why not making proph missions exploreable, so that people can do it without NEEDING any other program
heck, they did it with cantha and elona, so they DO know about it, probably (i hope, hehe)
i once wanted to open GW in texmod, but was scared as it still goes through my account, and so i refused to

sry if i sound weird, i cant concentrate well as i'm sick last weeks, but i guess you get what i mean

now lets hope anet does show up for the 10th anniversary at all o_O

good OP but I am totally against the idea of an edition being released with the original collectors editions bonus (such as Divine Aura etc...)

These items should stay as they were which is fairly rare, the people whom originally bought the collectors editions are proud of the fact they did so and that although you can still buy these they are now crazy expensive

Maybe a special 10th anniversary edition with it's own pet or unlock, but please leave the original collectors items out of any new edition ( should one be made)

This is not a post about elitism, this is a post about preserving what people paid extra for to begin with and not cheapening it by handing it out again for the hell of it

Imagine if they decided to release every limited asian minipet etc... in a 10th edition it would be simply unacceptable, the collectors edition bonus, aura, dances etc... rank alongside this imo.

unacceptable? seriously, getting a few items only cuz you live in a certain place.... isnt that a kind of racism?
i dont see any problem, and havent come across 1 good reason why not to, all i see is "cuz its special" people said that with the festival hats, yet we can now get all, including the celestial mini's

i bet most of those that have those items, dont care anymore, or dont even play GW anymore

even at events i barely see any divine aura dances and such

besides, its mostly just looks, if you look at the special items, you barely see any with a good use, if at all, cuz you cant change them and most have some standard (not much used) stats

now that GW is in the state it is in, i think releasing them for everyone on this anniversary or to accounts which are 10 years or older, would be a great thing

and minipets..... they arent worth much anymore, the only reason panda's and such stay so high in prices, is cuz of the idiotic e-peens people have, thats all its good for, really

also, when i ask for a reason why it'd be bad (not just making people annoyed for a bit.... and then eveyrthing's normal again) to release it for others, i always get the same 1 reason, and that reason doesnt make it overpowered in any way, and involves people who dont even know GW anymore, or dont even care about the items anymore

whats better?
1. making some people annoyed for a few days or so, but many others be made happy
2. not releasing, and letting the game go as dull as it goes, mostly, plus people annoyed by this e-peen attitude of people, of which most dont even own them (and most who say no, probably dont need, so lets go against it)

i think making more people happy like that, would be nice, even if its just the /bonusitems
it already has no meaning anymore, so why not give the items a use for some people who never could get them, and let them create nice chars, builds etc?

even if its only to the accounts which are 10 years old or older (mine isnt yet)

I would LOVE to see the limited edition mini pets available (see PANDA), for those of us who have been around since...before most of the current 'support' (hahahahahaa) staff worked for anet!
I already have the CE from all 3 so getting another divine aura isnt something I would want.

but realistically....having real SUPPORT for the game is what I really want for this year's anniversary....just looked thru my emails (from them) and have yet to EVER receive a reply (other than the automated one) for ANY of the times I contacted them---so the score for them right now is a big fat F

I just don't get why people think they're entitled to something they didn't ever pay for... It doesn't matter if it's purely cosmetic or not, somebody paid good money to have that collector's edition and handing out the bonuses from it freely would not only cheapen it, it would become the next obsidian armor thing where everybody has it, therefore rendering it worthless.

You all agree that the items are useless for actual gameplay, so why bother getting them if not for sentimental value? You didn't pay for the collector's/pre-order editions back then, why do you all of the sudden feel entitled to obtain these items that people paid good money to get? Just buy one of the codes off ebay, not hard.

And about the minipets. The reason those pets are so darn expensive is because there's not a lot of active ones left anymore and that's exactly what people are willing to pay to obtain 1 of a few left in the game. It's economics 101, if there's a lot of demand, but no supply, the price goes up dramatically... It's not because of the "e-peens" people have, as you say. Why are consets 3e/ea now? Is that because people's "e-peens" are so dramatic? Of course not! Less people farming to make them, means less people selling them. Like I said before, low supply when demand is high means the price goes up.

you beat me too it, http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Miniature#Seventh could you imagine how "upset" people were when Anet did that?

those were rarer then Collector/preorder items... and for the record I was the proud owner of a mini Asura & Mini Destroyer that I obtained from the Magazine promo, I still have my mini gray giant and also have the pre order weapons for Eotn, I could care less if people got them again, it would give new players a chance to obtain these items and those that missed the promotions simply because they were not in that region..IE AMERICA!!

yeah it's cool that I have some items people can not obtain anymore, but it make me feel like an Ass when someone see's me Rockin' that Darksteel Longbow and that person comes back with "Damn I wish I had that bow T_T"

"Suggestion" is in the title, I have gotten a few preorder items, a few promo items and could care less if everyone has them.

well, i'm a builder, i build chars and heroes, and my chars can really use that focus

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Chimeric_Prism

when that came out, i had no idea what MMORPG was, so had no chance of getting it
but now that i paid and played the crap out of GW (not done playing yet.... by far), i'd love to have some variations
that 1 focus can make me build way more, so the others may make me do more too

i make theme builds, like a focus + axe with armor+10 while below 50% to gain energy from the focus itself, and more armor rating in case i go below 50%.... and that on a d/w for example

if i'd have that focus, i'd prolly delete 1 char i use the least, and make 1 awesome char built around that focus, no idea how, but i'll see by then

skins are also part of themed built chars for me, so i take what i can

anyway, i still see only 1 reason, which i can only say 1 thing about "nearly noone either plays anymore with those items, or barely care about people having it or not" heck, many dont care much about the "elite" skins they would get, they are more PLAYING the game than being elitist about a few rare skins

i'd say the same even if i had ALL items i could get in such way, including all the mini's
why being greedy? why being selfish by saying "no, i deserve it more than you do"? only cuz you paid more back then

hell, i bought all char slots, 1 and a half account (2nd no char slots, merc heroes or eotn) and my main has ALL char slots, ALL merc hero slots and even had to buy fire imp summoning stone back then, plus some bonusweapons i bought
i dont regret, and would love to see all accounts have em now

of course they wont give away char and merc hero slots, but the bonusitems would be nice for everyone

and the state of the game is no longer "massively", its slow to get teams, unless you join the right guild/alliances, and hard to get help in most guilds/allies i have seen, even now, when people actually come back

who could care ENOUGH to say "ok, they better not release them for everyone"? only a few "nooooo, we dont deserve it" (most also dont have it) and so friggin many "i dont care as i wouldnt use em, but would be nice for those who would i guess" and even more "hell yeah, that'd be great"

PS. i'm NOT talking about the mini's, just the bonusitems equipment

this is my last attempt to try to give a good enough reason to see it happen, and to give my own personal point of view and OPINION on this subject
